This time, I will translate two of Ko-Ki entries as follow:

Title: Meeting Former Teacher

Content:

Time passes so quick before we know it, that's a fact we can't do anything about.

 Recently, I met the drumming teacher during my school time. A teacher who was the easiest to talk to and got trusted by the students!!

 I miss this teacher.. Even if already separated for nearly 5 years but I am still remembered, never thought to meet my teacher again after I become a professional drummer.

When I was at school, this teacher did not like me though *lol*

Today this teacher is a really good one, we talked while meeting each other.

Been quite ahile practicing marching drums.

Title: Dubstep

Content:

I like Dubstep.

I thought of a song mixing it with rock.

Each time I was thinking of making a good music, ended up to a bad one.

I prefer thinking of artwork or designs (than songs). But doing things other than the one you like is fine, then you'll become really serious about it and ended up able to compose a great song.

Hehehehehehehehehehehe

For those who don't know what Dubstep is, it's a musical genre, disco-alike... well....I tried to find an info and got this, for your reference: Dubstep on Wikipedia (Disclaimer)

Recently Ko-Ki has been talking a lot about composing a song so I think it's not too much to expect a song he composed in the upcoming work, is it?! :D

Shin Birthday Event

This year, ViViD has been celebrating their members birthday by having events. Iv celebrated his during the ViViD Style bowling episode, Ko-Ki and Reno had theirs off-air, and now it's Shin's turn.

Below is the information!

ViViD COLORS presents:

Shin BIrthday Live: しんのひとりでできるもん

Time: September 4th, 2012 (start 6PM)

Place: Takadanobaba AREA

Ticket: JPY 2,500 (FC members only)

Tickets on sale: Starting August 16th, 2012

Handing over presents to Shin:

Time: September 9th, 2012 on 7.30PM to 9 PM

(Anyone can hand over presents to him during the above mentioned time)

The event is called しんのひとりでできるもん which literally means "Things Shin Can Do Alone" and Shin once performed as this "unit" (solo actually, lol) during Peace and Smile Carnival - SHIBUYA 7 DAYS which he performed solo, covering other artists' songs. Seems like he'll be doing the same thing but I don't have any idea yet what songs will he be covering on his birthday.

Shin's birthday is on September 4th, let's celebrate!

Today I hung out with members after work, we were late for sports massage but since it was fun so there was nothing we could do.

We played game and screaming loudly like kids.

BTW, Shin was so devastated because he lost the game, but he looked cute that way *lol*

Shin: It's the name of the bassist of BLACK STONE in the manga NANA, so I picked the name. I really love NANA!!

Shin: I used cigarettes for photo shoots, yes, but for really smoking as in actually smoking, I have never done even once!

Title: To Those Who Aim to be Musicians

Lately, there have been more people who watched ViViD for the first time.

I talked a lot with a boy who brought the (musical) instruments. We had a very interesting topic so I really wanted to talk more with him, but I've been in the music industry for only 5 years but I thought of talking more about lying yourselves into the business.

To begin with, the real reason why I wanted to be in music is, to be honest, that I did not want to be an office worker.

That was my  mind set when I was about 15, very easily thought, somehow.

But a child on that age thinking that way, thinking that it was a cute thing, ignoring what grown-ups saying, received too much negative impressions.

Music industry and performing jobs are selling dreams, I thought hard on it.

With the view that "it looks fun," thought of the sweetness of "being in a band and become a pro!" and ofcourse the hard things of it.

I don't want to be something like that.

About being in a bad, out of your expectations, there are a lot of hard times as well.

Doing rehearsals, performing the songs you composed live. These are the things you do the most so there are so many things you must think of.

No matter how many times you did live performances, nobody knew you (note. nobody became fans), earnings from part time and live were all used for band expenses that you could not buy the things I wanted to buy.

Standing on a place where the sun light didn't reach and the fogs surrounded you, being told by people you had never met before to do whatever you wanted to. Those things were the ones to be expected.

But there were fun and happy things as well. The feeling that I had when the first fans were coming, even today I can not ever forget that feeling.

Therefore, for those who are reading this, please support musicians.

In this world, there are a lot of musicians who work hard to produce songs.

It's good, somehow.
